Canada to provide $52 mln to Ukraine to support projects
Canada plans to provide $52 million to Ukraine to support a host of projects, Canadian International Trade Minister Ed Fast said in Kyiv on Monday at a joint briefing with Ukrainian Economic Development and Trade Minister Aivaras Abromavicius.
A portion of the money will be used to support small and medium enterprise engaged in dairy and grain production, Fast said.
"We discussed the outlook for signing a free trade agreement between our countries," Abromavicius said. "The talks are continuing. A few sensitive aspects remain: signing this agreement would help to increase trade with Canada and help increase investment," he said, adding that the talks were in the intensive phase.
