Artyomsol to diversify exports due to Russia's ban on salt supply
Artyomsol State Enterprise (Donetsk region) plans to diversify its export market in order to sell its products, acting Director General Dmytro Fomenko has told Interfax-Ukraine.
"We haven’t yet been officially informed. They told us by phone that there is a ban," he said, commenting on Rospotrebnadzor’s decision to restrict supplies from the Ukrainian enterprise.
Fomenko said that if the Russian market is closed, the enterprise will look for new markets.
"Dealers do not refuse to buy our products," he said.
The Russian market's share of total company sales was some 30%.
As reported, the Russian sanitary service has banned the import of edible salt manufactured by the Ukrainian enterprise Artyomsol.
"Rospotrebnadzor has suspended the import into the Russian Federation manufactured by the enterprise Artemsol (Code TN VED 2501 00 91) from January 26, 2015," Rospotrebnadzor reported on its website on Monday.
