Four of ten seized trains carrying coal reach Vuhlehirsk TPP
Donetsk regional administration has managed to release four out of 10 trains transporting coal, which were held by the Security Service of Ukraine, jointly with tax agencies, to Vuhlehirsk thermal power plant (TPP) in Donetsk Region, which belongs to the state enterprise Centrenergo.
"Today from the Krasny Lyman station four trains with coal departed for Vuhlehirsk thermal power plant, although six trains with coal for thermal power plants are still detained," reads an administration report published on Saturday, January 17.
The regional administration said that from January 14 to January 17 a total of 10 trains with coal (some with scrap metal) were held at Krasny Lyman station. During these three days coal was not delivered to the plants.
"Donetsk Governor Oleksandr Kikhtenko personally controls the issue of the timely delivery of coal to thermal power plants," the administration said.
