Ukraine imports 1 bcm of gas in first two weeks of January – Ukrtransgaz
Ukraine imported about 1 billion cubic meters of gas (bcm) from January 1 to January 14, 2015.
Gas shipments from Russia totaled 572.2 million cubic meters (mcm) of gas (57.1% of the total supply over the period), 416.6 mcm (41.6%) came from Slovakia and 13.3 mcm (1.3%) from Hungary.
"For comparison: In the same period last year Ukraine imported 889 mcm of gas. All the gas supplies came from Russia," the company said.
As of January 14, 2015, Ukraine’s daily gas supply consisted of 38.6 mcm of gas from Russia, 30 mcm from Slovakia, and 2.7 mcm from Hungary.
