Prydniprovska Railways increases coal transportation by 4.5% in 2014
Prydniprovska Railways (Dnipropetrovsk) loaded 17.338 million tonnes of coal in 2014, 4.5% up on 2013, the company’s press service has reported.
The press service said that public joint-stock company DTEK Pavlohradvuhillia was the key dispatcher of coal, and among the most active consumers of coal were energy companies and concentrating mills located in eastern, western and southern regions of Ukraine.
Prydniprovska Railways services Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhia regions, Crimea and several districts in five regions. It operates 244 stations, including seven passenger stations and 67 freight stations.
