Amstor network issues will not affect food safety in Zaporizhia – official
Disruptions to Amstor supermarkets' operation does not threaten food safety in Zaporizhia, the press service of Zaporizhia mayor's office has said.
As reported, on January 6 Amstor supermarket employees sent a statement about problems in the network's operation to city authorities.
"According to Ukrainian law, local governance authorities have no right to interfere in the activities of economic entities. This appeal was forwarded to the Zaporizhia city department of the Ukrainian Interior Ministry in Zaporizhia region and the prosecutor's office of Zaporizhia," the press service said.
The Zaporizhia city authorities also stated that "there is no risk to food safety in Zaporizhia because of faults in the work of the Amstor's network of supermarkets."
