Ukraine imported 5.1 bcm of gas from Europe in 2014, says Ukrtransgaz
Ukraine in 2014 increased imports of gas from Europe by 59% or 3 billion cubic meters compared to 2013, to 5.1 billion cubic meters, stated the press service of public joint-stock company Ukrtransgaz.
"The increase in imports of natural gas from Europe was thanks to the opening of the Slovak route… The largest amount of gas came from Slovakia – 3.6 billion cubic meters, and 900 million cubic meters and 600 million cubic meters of gas was sent from Poland and Hungary respectively, "reads the report.
Ukrtransgaz said that in December 2014, Ukraine imported 1 billion cubic meters of gas from Europe.
