Parliament orders NCER to rise gas prices in Q1, 2015
The National Commission of Ukraine for Energy and Housing and Utilities Services Regulation (NCER) in the first quarter of 2015 will revise natural gas prices for consumers with the purpose of reducing the Naftogaz Ukrainy’s defecit, and providing financing for household benefits and subsidies by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
The requirement is stipulated in the law on the national budget for 2015, published in the Holos Ukrainy newspaper on December 31, 2014. It was absent in the initial draft law submitted by the government to the parliament on December 22.
The final version of the law does not include the introduction of the highest monthly wage for civil servants and judges equal to 15 minimum wages, and the requirement on paying official wages to lawmakers and cabinet members (excluding bonuses and premiums).
