Naftogaz transfers second tranche of $1.65 bln to Gazprom in line with Brussels agreements
Naftogaz Ukrainy has transferred $1.65 billion to Russia's Gazprom as payment for the gas that was earlier delivered and not paid for, the press service of the state holding reported late on Tuesday.
The company recalled that the first payment of $1.45 billion was transferred on November 4.
"Thus, in accordance with the agreements reached in Brussels, Naftogaz paid $3.1 billion in two tranches for 11.5 billion cubic meters of gas supplied by Gazprom in November-December 2013 and April-June 2014," the report says.
