VAT should be levied on gas imports by private companies, Cabinet proposes
Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers has suggested that lawmakers approve amendments to the Tax Code under which all gas imports, including by private companies, except NJSC Naftogaz Ukrainy, should be taxed.
The amendments were introduced by the government for consideration by the parliament.
As reported, the parliament late in 2013 introduced a tax on gas imports, including for Naftogaz, however, however in January 2014 the tax was abolished.
