EU committed to grant financial aid to Ukraine – EC President
European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker said the EU ready to provide economic assistance to Ukraine through the allocation of the third package of macro-financial assistance at the beginning of the next year.
This follows from a telephone conversation between Juncker and Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko on Monday.
"The parties have discussed economic and financial interaction between Ukraine, the EU and the international financial organizations. Jean-Claude Juncker stated the readiness to provide a readiness to provide economic support of Ukraine to allocate a third package of macro-financial assistance in the beginning of 2014," the president's press service reported on Monday.
The EC President said that he is planning to make a visit to Ukraine at the beginning of 2015 at the invitation of Poroshenko.
For his part, Poroshenko expressed gratitude to the EU for the support and efficient dialogue.
The president praised the conclusions of the Council of EU through December 18-19 aimed at further support of Ukraine.
