IMF mission to come back to Kyiv in January to continue discussion - statement
An International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission which visited Kyiv on December 9-18 held productive technical discussions with the new economic team of the Ukrainian government and with the National Bank and is expected to return to Kyiv to continue the policy discussion in January 2015.
"We found that the Ukrainian authorities are preparing to move decisively on a broad and comprehensive agenda to stabilize and reform the economy, while coping with the difficult challenges that emerged in the last year. In this context, we advanced substantially our mutual understandings of policy priorities going forward," IMF mission head Nikolay Gueorguiev has said in a statement posted on the IMF website.
