Ukraine is making payments on the $3 billion in debt it owes Russia, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said.
"We have already helped them. I would point out that we gave them a loan of $3 billion, on which they are for now making payments. That is, they are servicing it," Medvedev said in an interview with Russian television on Wednesday.
"I hope they keep up payment, because if they stop paying on the loan, default will ensue. That is fraught with risk for the Ukrainian economy, which is already in the most deplorable condition," Medvedev said.
