Ukraine to switch to European model of standardization - Yatseniuk
Ukraine will switch to the European model of standardization, and remove Russian and Soviet standards by 2016, Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk has said.
"We officially state that Ukraine is rejecting Russian and Soviet state standards. By the way, 15,000 new standards will be introduced in accordance with the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement. This will require a lot of time, and that's why we have set a deadline for ourselves –2016. This is an optimistic deadline," he said at a Cabinet of Ministers meeting in Kyiv on Tuesday.
