Cooperation with IMF not enough, international donor conference "a must" – Yatseniuk
Continuing co-operation with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) isn't enough to restore the Ukrainian economy, that's why an international donor conference for Ukraine is a must, Ukrainian Premier Arseniy Yatseniuk has stated.
"Our task now is the signing and extension of co-operation with the International Monetary Fund. But it's not enough. That's why the second task is an international donor conference and approval of a plan for the restoration of Ukraine," the premier said during a government meeting on Tuesday.
"We want to convene an international donor conference with our international partners – the Group of Seven (G-7), the IMF, the World Bank, other financial institutions, the United States – so that together we can adopt a restoration plan and through a joint effort make Ukraine successful," he added
