Export arms contracts suspended due to external aggression will be honored, says Ukroboronprom
Ukraine will fulfill its obligations to honor export arms contracts suspended in 2014 due to external military aggression, the head of Ukroboronprom state concern, Roman Romanov, has said.
"Due to events that we did not plan we had to suspend exporting of vehicles and send them to ATO [antiterrorist operation] zone," he said at a press conference in Kyiv on Friday.
"However, we should fulfill contract obligations," Romanov said, adding that the suspended exports can now be produced thanks to a planned increase in production at Ukroboronprom between 2015 and 2016.
