Kyiv urges foreign partners to invest in Ukrainian gas transport system - Yatseniuk
Ukraine has urged its EU and U.S. partners to invest in the modernization of its gas transport system, Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk has said.
"I hope that Ukraine won't be bypassed through South Stream. South Stream is an unnecessary political project of Russia, and Ukraine once again calls on all European and U.S. partners to invest in the Ukrainian gas transportation system," he said in a statement to the media in Kyiv on Monday.
Yatseniuk believes that "this should be our common approach to ensuring the energy security of both Europe and Ukraine."
