Ukraine may grant Norwegian companies access to consortiums managing gas transport, underground storage facilities - PM
Ukraine is ready to pass laws to let Norwegian companies bid in tenders to create companies to manage Ukraine's gas transport system and underground storage facilities, Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk said at the Ukrainian-Norwegian forum in Kyiv on Tuesday.
"If Norwegian companies representing the energy sector are ready to invest in Ukraine's gas transport system, our parliament is ready to pass a law to let not only European but also Norwegian companies directly invest in the gas transport system and underground storage facilities," he said.
Yatseniuk cited as an example that NJSC Naftogaz Ukrainy and Norwegian-based Statoil successfully cooperate in gas shipments.
