Ukraine asking EU to mediate gas talks with Russia on 'summer package'
Ukraine is asking that the mediation mission of the European Commission continue its work at talks with Russia on gas supplies during the 2015 summer period, an Interfax-Ukraine correspondent quotes Ukrainian Energy and Coal Industry Minister Yuriy Prodan as saying.
Prodan told EC Vice-President Maros Sefcovic on Friday that Ukraine wanted the European Commission to act as a mediator at talks with Gazprom on summer prices. Sefcovic, who is responsible for energy policy, is currently on his first visit to Kyiv.
