EIB to provide EUR 108 mln to seven Ukrainian universities for energy saving
The European Investment Bank (EIB) will provide EUR 108 million to seven Ukrainian higher educational institutions to modernize equipment and laboratories with focus on energy saving, reads a bank report on its website.
The bank's funds will be sent to reconstruction and modernization of laboratories, acquisition of research equipment and reconstruction of university facilities.
"A total of 147 buildings with a gross area of 820,000 square meters are included in the project. This will allow saving 78 gigwatts of electricity," the bank said.
The funds will be provided to Chernihiv State Technological University, Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute, Lviv Polytechnic National University, Poltava Kondratiuk National Technical University, Sumy State University and Vinnytsia National Technical University.
