Ukrzaliznytsia in ten months repairs over 27,000 freight cars

Ukrzaliznytsia at its plants and depots during January-October 2014 repaired 27,012 freight cars of various types.

According to the press service of Ukrzaliznytsia, it repaired 14,738 high-sided wagons, overhauled 3,527 hopper grain cars, 2,268 covered wagons, 1,465 tanks and 1,307 hopper cement cars.

The railways also renovated 703 flatcars, 420 platforms and 2,584 other cargo wagons.

In addition, it is planned in November and October this year to repair 5,024 freight wagons of the Ukrzaliznytsia rolling stock.

This year the railways have upgraded 126 freight cars owned by Ukrzaliznytsia, including 103 grain cars and 23 tanks.

In addition, the wagon depots of Ukrainian railways repaired 14,563 wagons of industrial enterprises: 8,640 high-sided wagons, 3,570 tanks, 133 hopper cement cars, 111 platforms, 59 covered cars, 46 hopper grain cars, and 2,004 other cars.
