Ukraine imports nearly 900 mcm of gas from Europe in October
Ukraine in October 2014 imported 892.2 million cubic meters (mcm) of natural gas from Europe, the press service of PJSC Ukrtransgaz has told Interfax-Ukraine.
According to its data, Ukraine received 809.3 million cubic meters of gas from Slovakia, 82.9 million cubic meters from Poland. Hungary suspended supplies on September 26.
In general, over the ten months of the current year Ukraine imported about 3.1 billion cubic meters of gas from Europe, while in January-October 2013 gas imports from Europe amounted to 1.8 billion cubic meters.
During the first day of November this year, Ukraine continued to import gas from the Slovak Republic (26.5 million cubic meters per day) and Poland (2.1 million cubic meters per day).
As reported, Ukraine in 2013 imported 2.132 billion cubic meters of natural gas from Europe.
