Gov't order on $100 discount for Ukraine may be signed over next several days – Miller
A government order on a $100 discount on gas for Ukraine could be signed in the next few days, Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller said in an interview with Russian TV channel 24.
"A government order could emerge tomorrow on a $100 discount for Ukraine. The new price will be $378," he said in the interview, which was recorded in Brussels late on Thursday night.
This order would be in effect until March 31, 2015.
Miller added that Russia has already said it intended to give Ukraine a $100 discount for a longer period, but "for some reason Ukraine still limited themselves to temporary parameters of five months."
A resolution on the matter is expected "in the next few days," Novak said in response to a question from Interfax.
"The draft resolution on the discount is currently with the government. The prime minister has given the order to expedite the process," he said.
