Openness of information on beneficiaries of companies in Ukraine to increase investment attractiveness of real estate market in future, says expert
The disclosure of information on beneficiaries of companies as owners of property in Ukraine will increase the investment attractive of the market and the country in general in the long-term outlook, Vice President of FIABCI-Ukraine (Kyiv) Oleksandr Bondarenko has said.
"In long-term outlook this [the openness of information on beneficiaries of companies] will, of course, make the market more attractive," he told Interfax-Ukraine, commenting on the adoption of the relevant legislative initiatives by the Ukrainian parliament on Tuesday.
Bondarenko said that possible investment could be discussed only when armed hostilities end in the eastern part of Ukraine.
The disclosure of information on end beneficiaries of companies in the European economy is a normal thing compared to the rather 'closed' Ukrainian economy, he added.
As reported, the Verkhovna Rada on Tuesday passed at second reading the government's bill on amendments to some Ukrainian laws regarding end beneficiaries of companies and public figures (No. 5114).
