Naftogaz repays LPNs worth $1.6 bln – press service
National joint-stock company Naftogaz Ukrainy has fully repaid loan participation notes (LPN) to the tune of $1.595 billion, the company's press service has told Interfax-Ukraine.
The company also handled the last coupon yield payment worth $75.76 million.
"The payment was today [on October 1] sent to the Euroclear and Clearstream clearing systems. The payment terms are within the deadlines set by the conditions of the LPN issue. Naftogaz confirms it will duly continue meeting its financial obligations," the company said.
National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) Governor Valeriya Gontareva earlier told Interfax-Ukraine that Naftogaz would buy the sum required for LPN repayment from the NBU.
