Oettinger against gas sector sanctions
Vice President of the European Commission for Energy Gunther Oettinger has said he is opposed to any sanctions being introduced in the gas sector.
Oettinger said at the Energy Community's ministerial meeting in Kyiv on Tuesday that his position was to avoid any sanctions in the gas sector.
Reliable, day-to-day deliveries of gas should not be a political instrument, he said.
