Ukraine plans to build LNG terminal near Odesa in nearest future – Turchynov
Ukraine plans to build a terminal of the liquefied natural gas near Odesa in the nearest future, Verkhovna Rada Chairman Oleksandr Turchynov reported in an interview with the journalists on Palanga, Lithuania.
The parliamentary speaker claimed that using new technological methods of building a floating platform, which will be processing liquefied gas "we will be able to save funds and time in building such terminals", the parliamentary press service reported.
"Most importantly, it will prevent Gazprom from further blackmailing our country, since we will be able to receive diversified supply of energy resources", he said.
As reported, Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Oleksandr Turchynov will participate in the Conference of Parliamentary Speakers of the Nordic and Baltic Countries on August 17-19 (Palanga, the Republic of Lithuania).
