Russia's ban on transit routes of Ukrainian airlines not to affect operation of Wizz Air Ukraine
Russia's ban on transit flights of Ukrainian airlines across some territories will not affect the operation of the only low-cost airline in Ukraine - Wizz Air Ukraine (Kyiv).
Commercial Director of the carrier Vadym Tretiak told Interfax-Ukraine that the routes used by the airline do not pass the said territories and the decision of Russia will not affect the operation of the airline.
As reported, Russia has barred Ukrainian airlines from passing through its airspace to a number of countries.
"There is one decision that the government has made: the matter concerns the termination of transit flights of Ukrainian airlines through Russian airspace to a number of countries, such as Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia, and Turkey," Medvedev said at a government meeting on Thursday.
