Money allowance to servicemen, new types of armament and fuel are main expense items, says prime minister

Billions of hryvnias as a part of the state defense order will be sent to get new types of armament for the Ukrainian army, Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk has said.

"The key article of expenditure is first the allowance and real money to people. Secondly, this is new types of armament. I've signed the state defense order, under which we're spending billions of budget funds on new types of armament," he said at a briefing in Kyiv on Thursday.

Yatseniuk said that another article of expenditure is the provision of the Ukrainian army with fuel and lubricants, including the preparation for the winter period.

"Everything will depend on how the campaign will go on, but we foresee these funds," the premier said.
