Kyiv hopes European Commission to help increase reverse gas supplies to Ukraine
As of today, objective and subjective reasons for cutting reverse gas supplies to Ukraine exist, Ukrainian Energy and Coal Industry Minister Yuriy Prodan said.
"Objective and subjective reasons exist," Prodan told reporters in Brussels following his meeting with European Energy Commissioner Gunther Oettinger.
Technical difficulties are among objective reasons and legal issues of Russia's Gazprom regarding European partners are among subjective ones, he said.
At the same time, Oettinger expressed readiness to help Ukraine with expanding reverse gas supplies, Prodan said.
"It [the European Commission] has all instruments necessary for this," the minister said.
