Yatseniuk demands reason for price hikes in Sloviansk
Ukrainian Premier Arseniy Yatseniuk has said he has demanded a response to the unreasonable rise in prices in the town of Sloviansk of Donetsk region.
"With such proprietors one should work under the rules of warfare, because war makes some people rich," he said at working meeting in Sloviansk on Wednesday.
"We must explain to proprietors, together with the law enforcers, that it is inadmissible to become rich off other people," the premier told Interior Minister Arsen Avakov.
His statement appeared after a report by the first deputy head of Donetsk Regional State Administration, Andiy Nikolayenko, who said that abuses have been registered in transport, at drugstores, as well as in supermarkets of the ATB network that have resumed work.
Nikolayenko said that at the moment 30 public transport vehicles, four drugstores and two out of the three ATB supermarkets in Sloviansk are working.
