Government in September will present two-year plan to restore Ukrainian economy - Yatseniuk
The Cabinet of Ministers in September will present a two-year plan to restore Ukraine's economy, Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk has promised.
"This recovery plan is intended for two years... This will be a 'Marshall Plan' for Ukraine. We have started work to present in September a recovery plan to the Ukrainian people. And the government will reveal the plan in the first session days of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine in September," the prime minister said at a Cabinet meeting.
According to him, the main elements of the plan are food and energy security.
"Providing the domestic market with food and its exports, the development of the agricultural sector. And the second issue is the energy sector: reducing energy consumption, increasing production and the construction of new power grids and generation," Yatseniuk reported.
