Ukraine remains reliable gas transit country despite Russia's attempts to discredit it - Yatseniuk
Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk has noted Ukraine's ability to ensure reliable and uninterrupted gas transit to Europe.
"We are fulfilling and will fulfill all of our obligations on transportation of natural gas to Europe," he said, while opening a government meeting on Wednesday.
"We predicted a few weeks ago that there would be subversive acts aimed at undermining Ukraine's reputation as a reliable transit country and legitimizing the construction of South Stream, which is aimed not at diversification of gas supplies to Europe, but at the exclusion of Ukraine as a key transit country for the European Union. Therefore, it's absolutely clear who is interested in undermining the credibility of the Ukrainian gas transport system," Yatseniuk said.
