Ukraine buys $113.8 mln in nuclear fuel from Russia's TVEL in Q1
Ukraine bought $113.828 million worth of fresh nuclear fuel in January-March 2014, the State Statistics Service said.
The service said Ukrainian nuclear power plants (NPP) purchased only Russia-made fuel in the reporting period.
Ukraine bought $600.596 million worth of Russian-made fresh nuclear fuel in 2013. The country bought $600.334 million worth of fresh nuclear fuel in 2012 - $555.355 million of it from TVEL and $44.979 million from Westinghouse Electric Sweden AB.
Energoatom is the operator for all four of Ukraine's active nuclear power plants, consisting of 15 nuclear power blocks with capacity to generate 13.835 gigawatts of electricity.
