Wizz Air Ukraine has to apply coefficient close to euro rate for hryvnia tariffs
Wizz Air Ukraine (Kyiv) is not intending in the 2014-2015 winter schedule to change pricing policy in euros.
"Wizz Air Ukraine remains committed to a low-cost model and is not changing pricing policy, continuing to offer the lowest possible fares to its passengers. Compared to the previous winter season, the average price for flights in euro equivalent remains unchanged," airline commercial director Vadym Tretiak told Interfax-Ukraine.
However, he said that as the company's major production costs are in foreign currency, which is bought at a commercial rate, company is forced to use the coefficient close to the commercial euro exchange rate for tariffs in the hryvnia.
Wizz Air Ukraine offers flights on 16 routes to six countries from three Ukrainian cities.
