EU, Ukraine, Russia, Slovakia could hold gas talks on April 24 - Prodan
Quadrilateral gas talks involving representatives of the European Union, Ukraine, Russia and Slovakia could be held on Thursday, April 24, Ukrainian Energy and Coal Industry Minister Yuriy Prodan has said.
"There is a proposal from the Russian side and the European Commission to hold a quadrilateral or trilateral meeting. The question of a three ministers' meeting in Bratislava – the EU commissioner, Slovak, Russian ministers and me – is currently being considered," he told reporters in Kyiv on Wednesday.
He said that such a meeting could be held on Thursday, but a final confirmation had not yet been obtained.
Prodan recalled that the Ukrainian side had sent its proposals to Russia on the gas price, according to which Ukraine is ready to buy it, but it has not yet received a response.
