Ukraine to pay Russia for gas consumed in March after it agrees on price - Prodan
Ukraine will begin to pay Russia for gas it consumed in March 2014 after agreement on its price is reached, Energy and Coal Industry Minister Yuriy Prodan has said.
"We have not paid for March, because we sent constructive proposals to Gazprom regarding approaches to the price of gas and the volume of its consumption. We have not yet received a positive response from Gazprom. In fact, we propose returning to the agreements that were in effect in 2013, because, in our opinion, there is no reason to cancel that ratio," he told reporters in Kyiv on Wednesday.
Prodan said that Ukraine had not started pumping gas in April, because "there is still time to do the appropriate pumping."
