Cabinet will do everything to stabilize situation in financial and economic sector - Yatseniuk
The Ukrainian government will do everything it can to stabilize the situation in the financial and economic sector, Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk has said.
"The Ukrainian government will do everything to stabilize the situation... Now the main thing is to keep calm. We have support from international lenders, a stable banking system and experience in overcoming financial and economic crises," he said at a press conference in Kyiv on Friday.
Yatseniuk believes that after the situation stabilizes it is necessary to implement a large-scale program of lending to the Ukrainian economy. In particular, it is necessary to significantly lower interest rates in the real sector of the economy.
