Ukrainian banking system operating as normal - NBU
Ukraine 's banking system is operating as normal, the press service of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has said.
"Despite the difficult political situation in the country, the NBU regional departments and the directorate continue to work as normal. The NBU subdivisions continue to carry out their functions, and the National Bank of Ukraine - its constitutional functions," reads a statement.
According to the press service, the regulator carries out both routine tasks related to monitoring and controlling the situation on the monetary-credit and foreign exchange markets, and ensures the stability of the banking system as a whole.
The report notes that the NBU has a broad network of territorial directorates and divisions, which allows it to carry out continuous monitoring and control of the situation.
"All payments in the electronic payment system are being performed as usual," reads the report.
