Government to help victims of railroad accident in Sumy region - Vilkul
Acting Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Oleksandr Vilkul has said that the government will provide assistance to the victims and families of those killed in a railroad accident in Sumy region.
"All the victims have received the necessary medical assistance. I express my condolences to the bereaved families. Investigators should look into the causes of the tragedy. At a government meeting I will raise the question of granting financial assistance to the bereaved families," the government's press service quoted Vilkul as saying.
The report notes that 12 people were killed in the accident, and six more were injured. The shuttle bus driver, whose actions, according to preliminary reports, led to the tragedy, has been detained.
