Cabinet decides to issue additional eurobonds 2013 worth $2 bln
Ukraine, which has already sold two-year eurobonds worth $3 billion to Russia at 5% per annum, will also issue eurobonds worth $2 billion.
The Cabinet of Ministers decided to issue the bonds on January 20 and posted cabinet resolution No. 17 on its Web site on Monday.
As reported, First Deputy Finance Minister Anatoliy Miarkovsky said that Ukraine plans to issue $2 billion in eurobonds in the framework of cooperation with Russia by the end of January. There is no information on the placement. The eurobond issue prospectus has not yet been published.
Russia said in December that it planned to provide Ukraine with $15 billion in finance in 2013-2014 by buying Ukrainian eurobonds. Russia bought a first tranche of Ukrainian bonds worth $3 billion on December 23.
Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov earlier said that the country plans to receive the rest of the $12 billion in early 2014.
