Azarov orders allocation of assistance to police from Reserve Fund
Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has thanked law enforcement officers for observing their oaths and showing restraint in the current situation and said that the government will provide them with all of the necessary assistance.
"The state will properly appreciate the courage of its employees in uniform," he said, while opening a government meeting in Kyiv on Wednesday.
Azarov ordered the preparation of a decision on the allocation of assistance to injured law enforcers and their families from the Reserve Fund and its submission for consideration by the government in a week.
He also said that law enforcement officers were using only measures to deter the protesters.
