Government approves draft state budget for 2014 - Akimova

The Ukrainian government has approved the draft state budget for 2014, First Deputy Head of Ukraine's Presidential Administration Iryna Akimova has said.

"[The state budget] has been given preliminarily approval. In terms of macroeconomic figures, ask this question to the Economy Ministry and the Finance Ministry," she said after a government meeting on Wednesday.

Akimova also said that the government had decided to postpone a reduction in VAT until 2015.

"There was a proposal to postpone the cut in VAT," she said.
