Gazprom lowers gas price for Ukraine 33% to $268.5 per 1,000 cu m
Gazprom and Naftogaz Ukrainy on Tuesday signed a supplement to their January 19, 2009 agreement on gas purchase and sale, delivery, volumes and gas transit as the presidents of the two countries looked on, an Interfax correspondent reported from the signing ceremony.
At the ensuing press conference, Russian President Vladimir Putin said the document that was signed would enable Gazprom to lower the price of natural gas for Ukraine to $268.5 per 1,000 cubic meters, compared with a price of over $400 currently.
