Only four regions regularly paying for gas in Ukraine – Naftogaz official

Payments for natural gas are made regularly by only four regions - Chernivtsi, Rivne, Poltava and Cherkasy regions, Director of the Department for Economic Planning and Budget Payments at Naftogaz Ukrainy Yuriy Kolbushkin has said.

"This gives all the grounds for the other regions to reach the same level," he said at a nationwide conference call in Kyiv on Tuesday.

Kolbushkin also noted that the contract campaign for 2014 was currently in full swing, moreover, opened clearing accounts would be an innovation for all municipally-owned heat supply companies and gas consumers next year.
