Kyiv-Poltava road overhauls to be completed in 2015 - Ukravtodor
The State Agency of Automobile Roads of Ukraine (Ukravtodor) intends to complete the overhaul of the Kyiv-Poltava highway in 2015.
"The date of completion is 2015. If we raise a third credit [from international financial organizations], we will continue work from Poltava to Kharkiv," Ukravtodor deputy head Oleksandr Kharchenko said at a press conference in Kyiv.
According to him, the work to the 126th km near Pyriatyn has been completed.
"The contract for the 129th to the 191st km has been extended until July 1, 2014," the official said.
As reported, the construction of the first category section from Poltava to Kharkiv of the Kyiv-Kharkiv-Dovzhansky highway will be implemented in 2015-2017 if the World Bank issues another loan.
The government of Ukraine in July 2012 approved raising a credit from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the World Bank Group) of $450 million for a project to improve road quality.
