Political instability in Ukraine reduces chances of winning right to host 2022 Olympics - Azarov
Political instability in Ukraine reduces the chances of the country's successfully passing the qualifying rounds for the right to host the Winter Olympics in 2022, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has said.
"Of course, the current political instability in the country reduces our chances of successfully passing the qualifying rounds," he said, while opening a meeting of the organizing committee on the preparation and participation of Ukrainian athletes the Youth Olympic, Olympic, Paralympic and Deaflympic Games in Koncha Zaspa (Kyiv) on Thursday.
"But, again, we believe that while today there is political instability, tomorrow it will disappear. And I hope that the sooner we settle it, the more confident we will follow the path of participation in the right to get such a ticket to the 2022 Winter Olympics," Azarov said.
