State budget revenues in 11 months UAH 34 bln lower than planned - Azarov
The revenues of Ukraine's state budget in the first 11 months of 2013 amounted to UAH 309 billion, which was UAH 3 billion more than in the same period in 2012, but UAH 34 billion less than envisaged in this year's budget, Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has said.
"In December last year we planned a 6% increase [in state budget revenues], but in the first 11 months of the year revenues grew by only 1%," he said, while opening a government meeting in Kyiv on Wednesday.
He said that income tax revenues had declined by UAH 3 billion, or 4.5%, whereas revenues from the tax on foreign economic activity had grown by UAH 13 billion.
Azarov said that such a result had been triggered by deepening recession in the global economy and the reduction of Ukraine's trade with Russia.
He also added that the budget's needs for the payment of salaries, pensions, subsidies and other types of social assistance in December 2013 amounted to UAH 25.5 billion.
