Gazprom, Naftogaz work on development of deposits in Sea of Azov, Black Sea - Lavrov
The energy companies of Russia and Ukraine plan to develop oil deposits in the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea even before the delimitation process is complete.
"Our countries' companies are thinking of how to make the most of what was found there. Russia and Ukraine have not completed the delimitation process in the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea yet. However, international law allows us to think about the development of deposits together even before it happens, and Gazprom and Naftogaz are doing just that," Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said in the Don State Technical University on Monday.
