Ukraine since start of 2013/2014 MY exports 8.6 m tonnes of grain
Grain exports from Ukraine since the beginning of the current marketing year (MY, July 2013-June 2014) and as of October 25 amounted to almost 8.6 million tonnes, which is 9% more than on the same date last year.
According to the Ministry of Agricultural Policy and Food, wheat exports came to 5.1 million tonnes, barley 1.8 million tonnes, and corn 1.6 million tonnes.
According to the forecasts of the ministry, the grain harvest in Ukraine in 2013 will reach 60 million tonnes, up from 46.2 million tonnes last year. The ministry estimates grain exports in the current year will be 30 million tonnes.
